Hi,

I'm curious has anyone moved to the UK from elsewhere? I'm looking to do so but I'm wondering a few things. Mostly should I actually have a visa lined up before I go looking for a job or is it something that I would do later?

I can't actually find this sort of information anywhere.

Being able to demonstrate that you hae the right to work in the UK is, under the new guidelines, a pre-requisite for being interiewed for a job let alone starting one (

Having some work leads lined up,even if it's just a list of temp agencies, would, I assume, help with the 'intending to work' clause quoted above when entering the country.

I figured that from what I was reading but good to know for sure.

I think I woudl like to at least have something lined up but at the same time I'm also thinking that even if I go the AU Pair route that will at least get me over there to search rather than searching from abroad which might be easier. I'm also thinking if I sign up to some agencies they'd help me move? I might look into that thanks :)
